To the north of Pokhara lies an incredible glacial basin known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, one of the most spectacular areas in the world. Our classic trek will take you up the Modi Khola Valley and into the heart of this vast natural amphitheater culminating at the famed Annapurna Base Camp, below the awesome south face of Annapurna towering over 26,545 ft. above us. Prepare to be awed by these spectacular views as you ascend through breathtaking forests of oak and magnolia, which occasionally part to give views of the mountains ahead. We’ll trek deep into the gorge of the Modi Khola before eventually emerging into the heart of the sanctuary and the vastness of this unique amphitheater reveals itself to us.

Along the way you’ll experience the culture and lifestyle of the Gurungs, a mountain people renowned for their good nature and hospitality, and we’ll also have time to wander in Kathmandu and Pokhara, experiencing their delights.

Our trek will be fully supported and lodging will be in tea house along our route with a possible overnight in tents. Our all-inclusive package covers all lodging, meals (within our itinerary) permits and guiding fees upon your arrival in Kathmandu.
