If you are looking for great adventure and value, then this trip is for you! This is a perfect opportunity for those wishing to get started in backpacking. While the trip begins and ends with hotel stays, the rest of this adventure takes place in the scenic Snowy Range Mountains where we’ll spend 3 days backpacking in beautiful, yet moderate, terrain. The backpacking will be geared to the novice and we will offer expert coaching to help make you a better hiker. Don’t be surprised by the bugling of elk all around us.The Intro to Backpacking is also recommended for anyone considering our East Coast Trail adventure or future international backpacking treks with us.
The adventure begins with your arrival in Laramie, the historic frontier city where we’ll spend our first night. On day two we head up into the mountains and begin our 3 day trek in the Snowies. On Saturday we’ll hike out and drive a short distance to Saratoga, Wyoming, where we’ll soak in a mineral hot spring and overnight in the historic Wolf Hotel. This Old West hotel was built in 1893 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
