How difficult are the trips?
Our outdoor adventures are designed for people of all abilities, from the novice to the seasoned hiker. No experience is needed for any of our trips, just a willingness to experience the rewards of an active adventure. Our trips are rated based on the amount of hiking hours per day you’ll do, and we always hike at a comfortable pace designed to allow plenty of time for enjoy the scenery and take plenty of photographs. What are your group sizes?
We prefer smaller and more intimate groups and limit our trips to about 10 clients; however this can vary by adventure. With over 20 years experience in adventure travel, we know the right number of people for each specific adventure and limit group size accordingly. All of our trips have a minimum number of travelers.
What’s it like traveling in an organized group?
The teamwork and camaraderie of small group adventures can be a very rewarding part of the experience. Many clients have made new friends with others on our trips and continue to travel with us. Group travel offers an exciting opportunity to broaden one’s horizons. Families or friends are welcome to book an entire trip or contact us about a private trip.
What is the general profile of your clients?
Our clients vary from all walks of life and typically are between ages 35 and 55. Most are from the Midwest and are health-conscious couples and individuals interested in outdoor activities such as trekking, white water rafting and kayaking. They are eager to travel to exciting, popular international and domestic destinations while learning new skills as they experience adventure travel. For many, this will be their first outdoor adventure, and sometimes their first international experience. You can relax knowing our goal is to provide you with a safe and fun adventure in a positive and encouraging learning environment.
Who are your guides?
WorldWide Trekking's guides have extensive experience leading active travel excursions. Our guides are chosen based on their experience and abilities, as well as their positive and caring attitudes toward our clients. What is included in the price?
Our trips are all-inclusive and fully supported from the adventure's point of departure through the trip's conclusion. All guiding fees, permits, meals, lodging, local transportation and equipment transportation are included. Our meals do not include alcohol or any additional meals outside of our itineraries.
Does your price include airfare?
No. Most of our clients prefer to use their own air miles to save on expenses and often will arrive earlier or depart later to expand their trip. If you prefer, WorldWide Trekking will be happy to handle all of your flight arrangements at our cost.
What are the accommodations like?
Our lodgings vary based upon the trip location and planned activities. The Details section of each trip's itinerary lists the accommodations for that particular trip. Trek lodging may be a 3 star hotel, a mountain hut, a mountain yurt without showers, or a tent. All accommodations are on a twin sharing basis and, in most cases, single supplement can be arranged for an additional cost.
What are the meals like, and what if I have any dietary needs?
Our goal is to always exceed your expectations, and our meals are no exception. Our guides are wonderful cooks who are backcountry culinary masters who will delight you with delicious and nutritious meals. While utilizing local inns and guesthouses, the meals will be equally satisfying and culturally authentic. If you have dietary restrictions, please let us know when you reserve your trip.
How can I sign up for a trip?
To enhance your adventure, we keep our group sizes small. This causes trips to fill up quickly. To make your reservation, please call (402) 614-2267. Our business hours are Monday – Saturday, 8:00 – 5:00 CST. For online reservations, please complete our secure application. Register Now
WorldWide Trekking will call you on the next business day to confirm your information and answer your questions. (If we are out on a trip, we will get back to you as soon as we possibly can.) Once we confirm your reservation and secure a deposit, we will send you a detailed itinerary, clothing and equipment list, and information which will help prepare you for your adventure. (If you choose to use your credit card for deposits, we will take your information over the phone.)
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
To make sure each client has the most rewarding trip possible, we invest a great deal of time and effort planning each trip and coordinating with our local guides and outfitters. For this reason, we have a non-refundable $200 cancellation fee.
When is payment due?
All domestic trips require a $200 deposit (all of which is non-refundable.) Unfortunately, any cancellations made less than 10 days cannot be refunded since we will have paid for all lodging and other expenses.
All international trips require a $500 deposit ($200 is non-refundable.) All trip balances are due 60 days before trip departure. Any cancellations made less than 30 days cannot be refunded since we will have paid all fees, lodging arrangements and local operator expenses.
Do you recommend trip insurance?
Yes. We highly recommend travel insurance which allows you to get a refund on the cost of your trip if you need to cancel for emergency purposes. We suggest InsureMyTrip.com since they offer a wide variety of affordable policies.
